VACCINATE YOUR BABY TO AVOID PREVENTABLE DISEASES

In India, 6,60,000 babies die in a year due to preventable diseases(REPORT BY UNICEF). Vaccine-preventable diseases are a very real threat to children who are not properly protected. Each year children do get sick, and some of them die, from illnesses such as influenza (flu), pertussis and meningitis.
TRACK FOUNDATION organizes medical camps for underprivileged children in rural areas where the medical facilities are yet to reach properly. We arrange free health check up camps where reputed paediatricians diagnose and vaccinate the children (if necessary) and also they provide awareness classes for the mothers so that they can arrange the immediate necessary home remedy for their children when ever they'll fall sick and also they teach them about the importance of vaccination and hygiene sense so that they can avoid widespread diseases that affect individuals in a population.

STOP FEMALE INFANTICIDE/FOETICIDE!

                 STOP FEMALE INFANTICIDE!

Female infanticide is one of the issues that are gaining much prominence from all quarters these days. A baby girl tied in polythene bag and dumped in a public dustbin left to be torn away by wild stray dogs; an incident that took place nowhere else but in the very capital of our country.
Only education or money does not necessarily bring about a change in the mindset of the society. It is the people particularly the men or the decision makers of a family who should be sensitized.
The falling sex ratio of the country is a demographic disaster that is waiting to happen... Compared to 1991 when there were no districts having less than 800 girls per thousand boys, the census data of 2001 revealed that 16 districts are having sex ratios below 800 in the country. The Sample Registration System data also indicates that the trend is not only continuing but is actually intensifying ever since\ Medical malpractices, desire for small families coupled with strong son preference, along with the undervaluing of women in society and media is largely responsible for this phenomenon. The child sex ratio is a powerful indicator of social health of any society. The declining child sex ratio has its roots in the practice of sex selection or what is commonly understood as determining the sex of the foetus and eliminating it if found to be a female.

CAUSES FOR FEMALE FOETICIDE/INFANTICIDE:

  • OBSESSION FOR SON.
  • FEAR OF DOWRY BY MANY POOR CLASS FAMILIES.
  • GIRLS ARE CONSIDERED AS FINANCIAL OBLIGATION BY MANY PARENTS.
  • SOME OF THE MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS ALLOW TO DO SEX DETERMINATION TEST TO OBTAIN THE SEX OF THE FOETUS TO FULFILL THEIR MONEY DESIRE.
Be a change maker to transform the existing landscape of your society.

Start by raising your concern on this issue of female foeticide/infanticide.
Raise the issue  at your workplace, religious and social gatherings, speak to your family members including your children and relatives, and in political and professional arenas to collectively generate public opinion on this critical issue of sex selection. If you know of anyone indulging in it, report to Appropriate Authorities. Your vigilance will help save many girls and send out a strong message to those who err.
Each one of us can change our immediate environment by treating our daughters as equal to our sons. If each of us looks at the girl child with a changed mindset it will break the prevailing social apathy.

THE CHOICES AND OPTIONS ARE LIMITLESS.

JOIN HANDS WITH US TO PROMOTE MORE AND MORE WOMAN/GIRL EDUCATION SO THAT THEY CAN RAISE THEIR VOICE AGAINST SOCIAL INJUSTICE.

DONATE SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR THE POOR CHILDREN

DONATE SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR THE UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN

Track Foundation requests to all the donors , volunteers and our well wishers to come forward and make donations for stationery items/school supplies for the poor children. Help us  in making a school  supply donation or in running a book / school supplies / pencil drive successfully.
We welcome your desire to help us make a difference.

Underprivileged children are in dire need of school supplies.
The average classroom lacks the basic essential school supplies that make for a meaningful educational experience for kids.  The parents are unfortunately not in a position to provide the quality and quantity of supplies needed.  The lack of school supplies negatively affects the quality of the education that the children receive.

Track Foundation has responded to this need and is facilitating the donation of school supplies to needy and deserving schools.

  • Donate: If you already have school  supplies that you do not need (regardless of the quantity), please send them to us.  We welcome new and gently used supplies of all types.
  • Collect: If you would like to collect and send us school supplies, then you are also in the right place.  We welcome your desire to help.

Educate a woman, empower a woman!

Educate a woman, empower a woman!

Women empowerment is a must for the betterment of our country’s future.
Many of us oppose women's education and feel sad when a girl child is born, due to our narrow minded thought process, till date a women has played pivotal role of a mother, daughter, sister and wife, so think if she gets a chance to work for the development of India she will definitely prove herself. Many women are now a day’s educated enough to survive in a better way than men, then why in this modern and broad minded era, women have to compromise and sacrifice more as compared to men?

Women education refers to every form of education that aims at improving the knowledge, and skill of women and girls. It includes general education at schools and colleges, vocational and technical education, professional education, health education, etc. Women education encompasses both literary and non-literary education.
Educated women are capable of bringing socio-economic changes. Primary education is now a fundamental right. When a woman (or a girl) is ensured of her rights, the society at large is ensured of its sustainability.

Importance of Women education

  • Education will empower women to come forward and contribute towards the development and prosperity of the country.
  • So long as women remain backward and economically dependent on men, the helpless condition of them cannot be changed. Economic empowerment and independence will only come through proper education and employment of women.
  • Her identity as an individual would never get lost and her rights would not get trodden down.
  •  Educated girls and women are aware of the importance of health and hygiene. Through health education, they are empowered to lead a healthy life-style. Educated mothers can take better care of both herself and her baby.
  • Educated girls and women are aware of the importance of health and hygiene. Through health education, they are empowered to lead a healthy life-style. Educated mothers can take better care of both herself and her baby.
  • Women education is a prerequisite to alleviate poverty. Women need to take equal burden of the massive task of eliminating poverty. This would demand massive contribution from educated women. There cannot be much social and economic changes unless girls and women are given their rights for education.
Education will help improve the overall condition of women in the society. We can hope for better days while all women of our country will be enlightened and educated.

Empowering a woman empowers next generations.
Let women nourish the life here by empowering them.

COME FORWARD AND MAKE YOUR DONATIONS SO THAT WE CAN BE ABLE TO MAKE MORE AND MORE UNDERPRIVILEGED WOMEN/GIRLS EDUCATED.

HELP US MAKE OUR MISSION OF ERADICATING THE PROCESS OF OPPRESSION OF WOMEN.

SHARING A LEARNER FOCUSED APPROACH...WITH THE UNDERRIVILEGED

One of the most powerful tools for the social and economic progress of a country is quality education.

It brings with it equality among people. While privileged children receive international quality education, most underprivileged kids are provided with education only on paper. The aim hence, for imparting education should not only be on the numbers of children educated, but also the quality of education imparted.

Track Foundation takes such an initiative to educate the underprivileged of our society.

Keeping in mind the job market's demand the course curriculum has been designed introducing various skill development training programs for them.

Here too, teachers are trained to share a learner-focused approach, with them acting as facilitators of knowledge.

SAVE THE GIRL CHILD!

                                SAVE THE GIRL CHILD!
EDUCATE THEM FOR A BETTER SOCIETY

Discrimination against girls has been going on since ages now. Girls are often restricted to the confines of house and given very little or no opportunities to learn and grow in life. It is a matter of great shame that cases of female infanticide are still reported.
Save the Girl Child to contribute your bit in spreading awareness about the importance of girl child.

To achieve true women empowerment, it is important that we begin with the girl children. Girls of today are the women of tomorrow.

Track Foundation work towards the eradication of female infanticide and women empowerment. The mindset that a girl is a liability needs to be changed and this  requires happening at the grass root level.

The role of education is very important here and goes a long way in empowering women. More and more girl children need to be sent to school,  educating a girl has far-reaching impacts.
It is rightly said that when a woman is educated, an entire generation benefits from it.
For example, when an educated girl falls sick, she will have better understanding and awareness to avail proper healthcare services,  a society in which girls are educated will see less child marriages,  there will be decreased level of  poverty and more number women will participate in socio-economic processes.

It needs to be established that girls are in no way less than boys.

Donations to them serve two purposes: driving change in the society and providing tax benefits to the donor.

                                  HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS

Human trafficking is a hidden crime, and the first step to combating it is to identify victims so they can be rescued and help bring their perpetrators to justice.

It is the trade of humans, most commonly for the purpose of sexual slavery, forced labor, or commercial sexual exploitation for the trafficker or others.

In support of Human Trafficking Awareness Month, TRACK FOUNDATION has resources for mental health professionals, law enforcement personnel, health care professionals, and survivors on the signs of trafficking and services for human trafficking survivors.

Poverty is the main reason for increased Human Trafficking across the country.

So we emphasize on making the victims self employed or employed by giving them life skill development trainings like tailoring and knitting, jam, jelly, pickle, papad, squash making and packaging, incense sticks, attar, candle making, beautician's course, etc.

Join hands with us so that we can drive these social evils from our society.

JANUARY IS HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS MONTH

January has been proclaimed as the “Human Trafficking Awareness Month,” a title that underscores the need to destigmatize important discussions about human trafficking and call attention to key facts and realities about human slavery.
We should take the opportunity to remove ourselves from the frenzy of our lives and redirect our time, energies and resources to brainstorming and investing in concrete solutions to the problem of human trafficking.

“Human Trafficking Awareness Month” not only ensures that issues of human trafficking is visible on the public radar screen, but more importantly mobilizes us to take steps to effect sustainable change in the lives of trafficked individuals across the world.

Human trafficking is a global phenomenon that manifests itself in the form of sex exploitation, debt bondage, and organ trafficking. It is especially prominent in economically deprived areas. Poverty lies at the heart of human trafficking.

One form of sex trafficking is the commercial exploitation of children. Traffickers enforce the belief that having sex with a virgin will cure people of their sexually transmitted diseases.1 Young girls are raped and tortured to such an extent that their reproductive system is permanently damaged depriving them of their natural right to motherhood.Sexual exploitation among young boys is rarely heard of because of the gender-biased assumption that there can never be male victims.

Trafficking is a global problem and it is likely that it will always be a prevalent issue. However, by continuing to educate and inform both developed and developing nations of such examples of twenty-first century slavery, there can be hope of fighting human trafficking thereby saving countless lives. The importance of educating developing countries is that positive change can occur from within.

Let’s Raise Awareness of Human Trafficking in January and Beyond!

             RIGHT TO EDUCATION!

Access to education has always remained a longed for luxury for underprivileged children.
To overcome that the fundamental right to free and compulsory education for every Indian child was enforced in April 2010 through the landmark law, The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 more commonly referred to as the Right to Education (RTE) Act. The outcome of RTE Act should be that as more children go to school, the number of child labourers would fall.  Moreover, when clubbed with the Mid-day Meal Scheme that guarantees one nutritious meal for children at school, it would ensure, in effect, better health and nutrition for children between the ages of 6 to 14 years.

Come forward and be a part of our mission of educating the underprivileged children with quality education.
You may feel like a drop in the bucket.
But every drop counts!
Be a part of the breakthrough and make someone’s dream come true.
